THE NEGOTIATORS

The Negotiators are appointed by the Ngāti Tūwharetoa Hapū Forum. They are directly accountable to the hapu delegates and must act in the best interests of all hapū. Each month the negotiators report to the hapū delegates on the progress of the negotiations, and identify any risks or opportunities.

MANAGEMENT

Negotiation Manager

Gina Rangi

Gina is the negotiation manager, responsible for the day to day business of the negotiation team. She ensures that the negotiation team have the resources they need to do their job. She is also the main point of contact for hapū, overlapping iwi and the Crown negotiation team.

Morgan te Heuheu

Morgan te Heuheu began with the THF in 2014 as negotiation kaimahi. As a law graduate, she assists the THF negotiators especially on Crown and local government issues.

Merehira Savage

Merehira Savage began with the THF in October 2015 as negotiation kaimahi. As a graduate achieving her Post Graduate Diploma in Business Enterprise and MBA, Merehira brings her skills to the THF assisting the THF negotiators with overlapping claims and the working alongside the PSGE Working Group.

Karen Feint

Karen Feint is a Wellington Barrister with extensive experience in the Waitangi Tribunal and in Māori-law related litigation in the Courts.

Administration Manager

Hinemoa Wanikau

Hinemoa began her journey with THF in 2009 as Governance Secretary. In 2013 she was also made Administration Manager. She oversees the THF's administration, finances and logistics. She works closely with the hapū delegates to ensure that they have the reports and information they need.
